I thought I’d write my end-of-the-month update today. I usually don’t do that ’til several days later or a few weeks. Other times, much much later.
I made almost the same as I made in January. There’s only a difference of less than a dollar.
Maybe I should have been more specific about how much I wanted to make. I said I wanted to make more in February than I did in January, and I literally did, but that’s it.
January, I made $205.32.
February, I made $205.75.
Can you believe that?!
February’s a short month. I think I would have made more with a few extra days. Also, I haven’t been working from home as much for the past month or so, which had an impact on my earnings.
Anyway, earnings breakdown. (amount in brackets is the currency in which it was received)
Info about where I make money proofreading: $7.53 (Interested? Read this first.)
Prolific Academic (survey site): $6.56 (£5.27)
(Writing: I stopped freelance writing ages ago. Well, it feels that long. But I found a new gig recently. The pay’s not that great, but it’s flexible and there seems to be a lot of work for now.)
Plans for March
Like most months, I’d like to make more than I did the previous month. I’m going to be specific and say $300. This is a temporary figure, however, as I’d like to make more than that, but let’s see how the first target goes.
My main focus will be on proofreading and writing this month. My main focus, really, should be organisation, getting into a work rhythm. I feel if I do that, then I’ll have a better earning month.
