$30 A Day: Update…

.
Short update:

So, in my last post, I mentioned my desire to have 30-dollar days online this month. I haven’t achieved it yet. However, it’s only been five days since my last post.

My average so far this month is $7.89/day. Few reasons why:

 – The extra gig I got in February has been relatively quiet this month.

 – I’m yet to get into the habit of being available for proofreading when there’s more work (I’m not a morning person).

 – Life.

.
There are, however, 20 days of the month left. 🙂

.
My plan is to focus on hitting one 30-dollar day this month. Let me get there first. Then if and when I do, I’ll move forward from there.

I’ll use this month as a test run.

Ideally, I want to be having mostly 30-dollar days by June. That’s the target I’m setting myself.

I’ll get there eventually.

I want to.

Plan for April: Beast mode

.
I’m gonna get straight to it.

I want to have 30-dollar days online and I want it to be the norm.

.
Last month was good – average of $12.43 a day. It was also good because I had an initial target in mind and I met it. I also almost met my second target, $400.

But as much as I’m happy about that, and proud, I feel/know I’m capable of earning much more than that if I organise and apply myself, especially when I’ve been earning online for a while now.

This month, I want to do better.

Few weeks ago, I was thinking to myself, “I should be having 50-dollar days.”

But, for now, $30’s what I’m aiming for.

I initially thought, “Let me aim for $20 a day”. Then I thought, “Go gentle. Aim for $15 a day”.

But today, I thought, “Fuck it. Let’s go for $30.”

.
Weekends are normally quiet online, so my plan is to aim for $30 a day on weekdays, and $10-$20 on weekends. In time, I’d like those weekends to be 30-dollar days too.

I want to get in that $30-a-day head space, but I’m fine if I don’t hit $30 on a few weekdays. This month, let me just prove to myself that I can:

a) achieve it

b) achieve it more than once

c) achieve it a few times

d) a handful of times.

…enough to know that, “OK, that wasn’t a one off.” “Nope, that wasn’t a dream.” “Yes, you don’ hit that $30 jackpot again…and again…and again.” “Oooh, you’re getting good at this, gurl.”

.
I expect it’ll be challenging as I’ve never aimed for that much online in a day, with that much consistency – but I figure it’s like a muscle; in time, it’ll get easier and take less time and energy. My brain will be like, “Eek!”, and I’ll be like, “Nah, boo, we’re cool. You and me. We got this.”

Or I’ll be the one saying, “Eek!” and my brain, in the voice of Dumbledore, will say, “I believe in you, Ebele of Ebeledom. Now, go. Slayeth. Badassify.”

.

Wish me luck.

Actually, don’t wish me luck.

Wish me energy. Wish me self belief. Wish me grrr’ness. Wish me Eye of the Tiger.

Thank you. 🙂

.
Here’s to an abundant April for us all. 🙂

Miss to the Eb, signing off.

Online Earnings – March 2017

.
I wanted to make $300 in March, and I did. I made $385.18. In the last post, I mentioned it would be nice to finish at $400. Almost made it. 🙂

I’m proud of myself because March has been a personally challenging month. But despite that, I reached and surpassed the initial figure I had in mind. It’s also the most I’ve made since October.

I made about $180 more in March than I did in February. My total works out at an average of $12.43 per day.

Breakdown:

(amount in brackets is the currency in which it was received)

Proofreading: $212.98

Short tasks: $140.71

Appen (recording): $16.97 (23 AUD)

Info (where I make money proofreading): $5.00

Clickworker: $5.80 (5.44 EUR)

Pinecone Research (survey site): $3.72 (£3.00)

Total: $385.18

 – Pleased with my proofreading earnings. It’s the most I’ve made since October.

 – The writing gig I found last month has turned into a gig composed of various other tasks. I hope it proves to be a medium to long-term gig. I’ll just make what I can while it’s there.

 – I don’t get contacted a lot by Appen to do stuff. Last time I did something with them was May.

 – I wrote a detailed blog post about the proofreading site I use to make money. It’s password protected. If you wish to access it, please read this first (including the important update at the bottom). If you’re then still interested, please PayPal $5.00 to this email: me (at) getpaidtofart (dot) com. / (UPDATE – May 2017: Sadly, the proofreading company’s closing down this month.)

 – I’d had some money sitting in my Clickworker account for a while. Minimum cashout’s 5.00 EUR. I was invited to do a survey which pushed it over the minimum, hence the payment.

 – Pinecone Research is a reliable survey site that’s been around for a while. The surveys are infrequent, but I can’t think of a time when I haven’t qualified.

Plans for April:

Will write about that in my next post. 🙂

Update: How I’m Doing This Month In Ze Money-Online Department

.
Wanted to post an update over a week ago, but put in the wrong password and locked myself out of my blog!

Ho hum.

Anyway, I’m baa-aaack!

.
In terms of making more than I did last month, I’m doing pretty good. By around mid-month, I’d surpassed last month’s earnings which I’m pweesed about. I’m at $255 at the mo’, $50 more than I made the previous month.

And there are still 10 days of the month to go. 🙂

.
What’s responsible for how I’m doing this month:

 – Keeping some kind of pace with the proofreading.

 – Getting a new gig (various short tasks).

 – Pushing myself a bit more.

.
I’ve had more commitments since early last month, plus my sleeping pattern’s been wack, so I’m quite happy to be making more despite those factors.

.
Here’s to the rest of the month. Would like to finish at $400…because why the hell not? 🙂

Online Earnings: February 2017

I thought I’d write my end-of-the-month update today. I usually don’t do that ’til several days later or a few weeks. Other times, much much later.

I made almost the same as I made in January. There’s only a difference of less than a dollar.

Maybe I should have been more specific about how much I wanted to make. I said I wanted to make more in February than I did in January, and I literally did, but that’s it.

January, I made $205.32.

February, I made $205.75.

Can you believe that?!

February’s a short month. I think I would have made more with a few extra days. Also, I haven’t been working from home as much for the past month or so, which had an impact on my earnings.

Anyway, earnings breakdown. (amount in brackets is the currency in which it was received)

Proofreading: $166.68

Writing: $24.98

Info about where I make money proofreading: $7.53 (Interested? Read this first.)

Prolific Academic (survey site): $6.56 (£5.27)

Total: $205.75

.
(Writing: I stopped freelance writing ages ago. Well, it feels that long. But I found a new gig recently.
The pay’s not that great, but it’s flexible and there seems to be a lot of work for now.)

Plans for March

Like most months, I’d like to make more than I did the previous month. I’m going to be specific and say $300. This is a temporary figure, however, as I’d like to make more than that, but let’s see how the first target goes.

My main focus will be on proofreading and writing this month. My main focus, really, should be organisation, getting into a work rhythm. I feel if I do that, then I’ll have a better earning month.
